Carnage is a scoring system with a winner-takes-all philosophy for a solo victory and a rank-based structure for other game results.
Philosophy[]
The main idea behind the Carnage scoring system is to value solo overall.
As solo victories are not frequent, Carnage uses a rank based secondary component and a center count as a de facto tiebreaker.
Solo[]
Each game is worth 28,034 points. If you solo, you get them all, and every other player receives 0 points.
Points by Rank[]
In the event that a game terminates in some manner other than a full solo victory, players are ranked according to the number of supply centers they hold at EOG. Eliminated players are additionally ranked by the game-year that they were eliminated.
Rank | Points |
---|---|
1st (board topper) | 7000 |
2nd | 6000 |
3rd | 5000 |
4th | 4000 |
5th | 3000 |
6th | 2000 |
7th | 1000 |
If two or more players share a rank, they split the points for those positions. For instance, if two players tie for 2nd and 3rd place, then they each receive 5500 points ((6000 + 5000) / 2).
Points Per Supply Center[]
In addition, each player gets 1 point per supply center at the end of the game.
